 Steamroller Printmaking Workshop
August 15, 16, 22 & 23; 1pm-4pm
at Helen Day Art Center

Prepare your printing block in advance! Drop by Helen Day Art Center any time between 1pm and 4pm to prepare your woodbock for our Steamroller Printmaking Workshop, which is on September 12th. We'll provide carving tools, plywood for your woodblock (or bring your own), bench hooks and space to work. No instruction--open studio time.

Painting the Virbrant Colors of Fall w/Robert O'Brien
Tuesday and Wednesday, September 1st & 2nd
9:30am-3:30pm both days

$125(member) | $200

This two-day workshop focuses on painting the splendor of New England's fall landscape. Capture the vibrancy of autumn colors through the layering process and learn techniques for creating light and shadow. All levels welcome. Materials list provided. 
Handbuilding with Clay
$125 (member) | $150
(Includes clay, glaze and firing of ceramic pieces)

This hand-building class will focus on functional and sculptural pieces using slabs, coils, and molds to shape, form and mold the clay. Students will learn some surface techniques and decoration for their finished pieces.

Fourth Annual Steamroller Printmaking Workshop
An easy introduction to printmaking for beginners, and a great opportunity to make large prints for dedicated artists. Join us for a day of creativity and sushi.  No experience necessary- great for families! Stay all day or stop in anytime to make a few prints.

$20 per person

*Experience Includes:

3 Artist prints (time and materials permitting. If you come with a prepared plate / woodcut this is more likely)
$20 gift Certificate at Sushi Yoshi (Wow!)
ALL DAY FUN with a steamroller!

*Rain date: Sunday, September 13, 9:00am-4:00pm

*No experience or preparation required.
*If you're bringing your own wood or prepared woodblock please pre-varnish it.
*If you'll be carving a woodblock the day of, arrive by 3pm to allow ample carving time. 
*Printmaking can be messy- dress for the occasion.

*HDAC may ask that you donate one print for the benefit of the Art Center, giving HDAC permission to reproduce the image for promotion purposes, and to sell, auction or gift your print to benefit the mission of the Art Center.
