about the soap
All of green village soap is handcrafted in small batches. Every batch is hand poured, hand cut and labeled by hand to ensure the best quality. Each batch is thoughtfully researched and uses botanicals from our herb garden or local source. green village soaps are free from harmful chemicals like parabens (used as preservatives), petroleum products, phthalates, sodium lauryl and laureth sulfates and synthetic fragrance oils. Our handmade soaps are made by using the cold process method in which plant based oils are combined with a lye liquid mixture to create a process known as saponification. These aromatic soaps are scented with pure, therapeutic grade essential oils derived from plants. Synthetic fragrances are never used. The unscented varieties of soap contain rich properties such as organic carrots, avocado, yogurt, wild harvested plantain, organic colloidal oatmeal, Moroccan red clay (rhassoul), organic fair trade shea butter, local honey, organic cocoa butter, local and raw organic milk, activated charcoal, organic fair trade coffee, lemongrass, organic kelp and herbs like calendula, St. John's Wort, comfrey and chamomile.
