Researchers say several factors lead young to leave Vermont

University of Vermont researchers say a new project tracking why people continue to leave the state found some familiar culprits - jobs and higher wages - but also suggests other factors are at work.

One conclusion of the Vermont Roots Migration Project is that the best-educated Vermonters were more likely to leave.

The project collected the stories of nearly 3,700 people who attended at least some high school in Vermont.
