The play is a new adaptation of the Dickens classic by American playwright Romulus Linney, and was originally produced at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
The story of Ebenezer Scrooge's journey on Christmas Eve from an embittered, ungenerous creature into a giving, caring human being at the hands of three spirits is a timeless tale for the whole family. Beloved characters Fezziwig, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim and Scrooge's eternally cheerful nephew Fred are featured, as are the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.
The Harwood cast of 21 and crew of 11 includes students in grades 9-12 who have been working on British and Cockney accents, a three-dimensional set, and special lighting and sound effects since the beginning of the school year.
Ebenezer Scrooge is played by Curtis Wilcox, the Ghost of Christmas Past by Molly Ferguson, and the Ghost of Christmas Present by Evan Ostler, who also plays the ghost of Scrooge's business partner, Jacob Marley.

The youngest Cratchit, Tiny Tim, is played by Luna Isham.
In the scenes from Scrooge's past, Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig, Scrooge's first employers, are played by Ray Parker and Emmy Kelly. Harrison Russell plays Scrooge as a young man, and Nina Sklar plays Belle, a woman to whom Scrooge was once engaged. Also in the cast are Silvia Ubiali, Rachel Tousignant, Isabel Carr, Jonas Merchant and Sophy. All the cast members, except Curtis Wilcox, play multiple roles as the story of Scrooge's life unfolds.
