Central Vermont Medical Center's Express Care facility is pleased to welcome Rosanna J. Welton, PA to the staff of this busy clinic on the Barre Montpelier Road.
"We are delighted Rosanna joined our Express Care team," said CVMC President and CEO Judy Tartaglia. "She brings valuable experience from her work in Pennsylvania - first as an EMT and later working in an emergency department as a PA."
Rosanna has wanted to be a Physician Assistant since she was 16 years old. She started this journey after high school by moving to Pittsburgh and earning her certification for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and 200+ Hours in Advanced Life Support skills towards her Paramedic Certification. She logged in 5,000+ hours of service on an emergency ambulance service in Pittsburgh with calls including gunshot wounds, strokes, myocardial infarctions, and motor vehicle accidents. During this time, she was also studying for her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Chatham College. After achieving this degree, she continued on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Chatham University.
She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
"I have had family members cared for at CVMC, and I am looking forward to serving the people in central Vermont where I grew up," noted Rosanna.
Rosanna returned to Vermont to be near family and to live in the country. She grew up in Fayston and graduated from Harwood Union High School. Upon her return to Vermont, Rosanna settled down in Duxbury where she lives with her partner, two cats, a ferret, five chickens, a rooster and a guinea hen. During her free time you can find Rosanna running, snowboarding, cooking or baking.
