I-89 Crossover Work - Crews will continue construction of the crossovers on I-89 in preparation for the bridge construction in 2015. Daily closures of the passing lanes through the Exit 10 area of I-89 will be required during daytime hours. Motorists using Exit 10 on ramps are advised to use extreme caution and yield upon merging into traffic. Speed limits have been reduced to 50 mph through the construction zones on I-89 NB and SB.

Project Location: Intersection of Routes 100/2 in Waterbury.
Crews will be installing new sidewalk and traffic signs throughout the week. Work will also include miscellaneous clean-up activities around the construction area.

Later this week, the newly constructed Roundabout is scheduled to be fully functioning and open to traffic. Uniformed Traffic Officers and traffic signals will be used to assist motorists in navigating the Roundabout. Work will continue for the next few weeks before the project shuts down for the winter.

Driveway entrances and side road entrances will also be paved in this week. New gravel shoulder installation will follow paving operations.

Traffic - Paving and shoulder work will require alternating one-way travel around the construction area. Traffic control personnel will be present to assist in maintaining traffic flow. Motorists should anticipate traffic delays. Please allow for extra time in your travel plans.

    Northbound Off Ramp Signal Project
Project Location: The Northbound Off Ramp Signal Project is located at Exit 10 at the intersection of I-89 and VT100.

Project Location: Stowe Street project limits extend from the Thatcher Brook School to Lincoln Street.

East Street to Route 100 - Crews will continue installing new sidewalk throughout the week. Patch paving is also scheduled to take place this week, weather permitting.

Within each construction zone, travel will be reduced to alternating one-way traffic with flaggers maintaining traffic flow. Construction zones are indicated by the presence of orange cones.

Traffic: Traffic delays can be expected throughout the week.
