Man gets 75 months in Vermont heroin case

A 21-year-old New York man is going to federal prison for more than six years for his role in a heroin trafficking case that led to the death of a Vermont man.

Joshua Rose was sentenced in federal court in Rutland on Thursday to 75 months in prison after a guilty plea to a charge he conspired to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin.

Court documents say Rose trafficked 400 to 700 grams of heroin between New York and Rutland in 2012.
