THE GATHERING features Windham Hill Records founder and Grammy winning guitarist Will Ackerman will join fellow Vermonters, acclaimed pianist Masako and eighteen year old guitar virtuoso Matteo Palmer, as well as the Zone Music Awards winner for Best Instrumental Piano Album in 2010 and 2013, pianist Heidi Breyer. The performance is a multi-media evening of deeply engaging and emotionally captivating instrumental compositions called "dream material, on every level," by Lloyd Barde of Common Ground Magazine.

Will Ackerman has performed at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, the Kremlin, the Montreux Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks, Ravinia, and Wolf Trap. He is the founder of Windham Hill Records, the producer of artists George Winston, Michael Hedges, Liz Story and Alex deGrassi and has received more than 20 Gold and Platinum Records. He has been profiled in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the International Herald Tribune, Newsweek, Esquire, Rolling Stone, and People Magazine. Will's "Returning" CD, won a Grammy Award in 2005. "The Sound of Wind-Driven Rain" and "Hearing Voices" were also nominated for a Grammy. Will received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the ZMR Awards Ceremony in May 2013. "the Gathering", a compilation of 22 musicians Will has recently produced at his studio in Vermont, won "2012 Album of the Year."

Masako is a pianist and composer who resides in the Northeastern USA. Her first album, MASAKO, was released in April, 2012. When she was five years old, Masako was already composing and singing her own tunes, up on a tree in the backyard of her parents' house in Tokyo, Japan. She started taking piano lessons at the age of four and started to perform professionally at eighteen. Her second album, Call of the Mountains, was released in January 2014.

Matteo Palmer first picked up a guitar around the age of 8, and he focused on the riffs of blues and rock legends. At 14, he had the opportunity to sit front and center at an Alex deGrassi performance. After hearing the mesmerizing sound of an acoustic guitar, Matteo was off on a new journey, exploring the music of Alex deGrassi, Will Ackerman, Michael Hedges, and other legendary artists from the Windham Hill Label. By the age of 15, Matteo was writing his own compositions, and he soon organized a benefit show for his local opera house. He invited his hero, Will Ackerman, and they performed a duet on Will's piece, "Hawk Circle". Will then offered to mentor Matteo, and in November of 2013, he released his debut album, "Out Of Nothing". Recorded at Imaginary Road Studios and produced by Will Ackerman, the album features 11 of Matteo's original compositions, ranging from slow, heartfelt melodies to fast, driving rhythms.

Heidi Breyer's first brush with music was at the tender age of two, on the stage of a small, English nursery school. There, wearing a paper flower petal skirt, she danced beyond the end of the music and for Heidi, the rest of world ceased to exist; whether through teaching, learning, composing, performing or listening Heidi believes music can transform. Since that early age Heidi's life was inextricably linked to music through dance, drama and music study at the Arts Educational School in Hertfordshire, UK and later at Trinity College of Music in London. In the last five years she experienced a musical awakening and followed her deep passion for writing music resulting in 3 award winning albums, a fourth set to be released Fall (2014) and a New Age Requiem which schedule for release by the end of 2015.
