This vigorous "asana" class is inspired by Beryl Bender Birch's compassionate take on Ashtanga Yoga. Some Yoga experience is recommended but not required. Be prepared to sweat, come well hydrated, with an empty belly. The room will be warm. The class will include "sun salutations", standing and seated postures and back bending (with compassion) from the first and second series of Ashtanga. The goal of the teaching will be to give individual attention and hands on adjustments. Each modification, with practice and patience, will eventually lead to a deeper expression of the posture for each practioner.

Participants need to bring a yoga mat, blocks and towel. Instructor will have additional mats and blocks for a $3 rental fee.  Drop-ins welcome dependent upon availability.
