Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin has announced seven health care innovation grants totaling more than $2.6 million.

The grants - administered by the Vermont Health Care Innovation Project - have three aims: A shift away from fee-for-service to outcomes-based payments in health care; better coordination and management among health services; and improvements to electronic medical records.
