The Jewish Community of Greater Stowe will celebrate the joyous, weeklong holiday of Sukkot in October. The community is invited to the Shabbat service on Friday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m., followed by a Sukkot harvest dinner catered by Rachel Jacobs of Vermont Kosher from 7 to 9 p.m.|
During Sukkot, it is customary to hold activities in a sukkah - a hut that sits beneath the open sky - and the service and dinner will be held outside the JCOGS Community Center on Cape Cod Road. Prayers and songs will be led by Rabbi David. All are welcome.
The cost of the dinner is $22 for adults and $5 per child. Reservations: JCOGS.org or 253-1800.
